From sandbox key to a working eSIM

Every request below runs against the sandbox with your sandbox key. Orders paid from your test credit deliver real test eSIMs, so you can install one on a phone.

1. Get your sandbox key

   Sign up and accept the Mutual NDA. Your key appears once on the next page and comes with 20.00 EUR test credit. Keep it on your server: the API is server-to-server and must never be called from a browser or an app.

2. Check the key and your balance

   Your connector, whether it is sandbox or live, and the prepaid balance in EUR and USDT (amounts in minor units: 2000 = 20.00).

3. Find a plan

   Destinations, then the plans for one country (ISO code) with your prices. Each plan has a sku, for example romania-5gb-10d.

4. Order a new eSIM

   Pay from your prepaid balance: the order is delivered at once, with no payment page. Send an Idempotency-Key so a retry never buys twice.

   To test the flow where your customer pays on a checkout page, use "paymentMethod":"simulated" and settle it yourself with POST https://sandbox.globalcell.dev/v1/sandbox/orders/{id}/pay and {"outcome":"paid"} (or "failed", "expired").

5. Install the eSIM

   A fulfilled order carries the install kit: one-tap links for iPhone and Android, a QR code and the manual codes. Show them to your customer, or open a link on a test phone.

6. Package activation on an existing eSIM

   Add a data package to an eSIM you sold: same call, type package and the eSIM's ICCID. Check usage and connection problems with GET /esims/{iccid} and GET /esims/{iccid}/diagnosis.

7. Go live

   Sign the Master Partner Agreement online: the link comes with your sandbox key, or ask us at hello@globalcell.partners. After your first prepaid deposit (EUR or USDT) you get a production key, your own account and your wholesale prices. Production runs on its own host, with the same requests.
